On Saturday the twins had a family birthday get together at their aunt's house. Even though only one of their friends showed up, I think they still had a great time. I made their birthday cakes with their help the night before. Dylan wanted a double chocolate cake with sprinkles and Dalton wanted to make a cookie cake. We all had a fun time making the cakes and playing with the extra icing. Eric and Devin were not able to be at the party because they were in Indiana getting ready to go to the Brickyard 400 Nascar race.
Ok, I know this is a little out of order, but at least I am posting. Here are a few pictures from our 4th of July get together at our house. Most every year we try to have family over, grill out and do fireworks. Dylan and Delayna were chilling out on the swing.
Here are some pictures of the twins on their birthday. The pictures were taken just before they went to bed that night. We were sooooo busy during the day that we forgot to take pics. The last picture is a van load of Solomons and Bargatzes! We had such a good time in Alcoa, TN. This is the way we traveled while the husbands were at their conference. Hey, we saved on gas money!!!
Happy 11th Birthday Dalton and Dylan! Dalton turned 11 at 12:51p.m. and Dylan turned 11 at 1:06pm. Sorry I don't have a pic to put up, we are out of town and I am doing this in the Hotel room. They had a great birthday playing with the Solomon kids! They swam in the pool and ate pizza and went to Ryan's for their birthday dinner night! Where else do you take 7 kids with only two families!!!:) Thanks Blake and Andrew for playing the Wii with Dylan and Dalton in the hotel room. Happy Birthday Boys! You are both becoming such young gentlemen. :) I love you both! :)
As you can see Delayna did not like the sand, but loved the water. Here are a few shots of the condo, beach, and the family. We stayed on the seventh floor on the right side. We also went to see an old fort, Fort De Soto. That is where the kids are standing behind the bars.
We lost the ball game on Tuesday night so there was no worry about the ball tournament! I did laundry for 5 days straight, and if you know me that is a big big deal! Everything was packed and we were off on our trip about 4:00 Friday afternoon. We drove to about Macon and spent the night. I did not get much sleep because I was in bed with Dalton and Delayna. We drove through a lot of rain in Georgia and finally made it to Florida. The beach was wonderful! Here are a few pictures of our stay...
Can you believe that our baby girl is already one!!!! Happy Birthday Delayna! We love you! Thanks Addison for celebrating with us! Best Friends Forever!
Her hands look GREAT!!! The babysitter has a table toy that she has been pulling up on so I went to a consignment store and picked out a new Leap Frog toy so Delayna could pull up. She loves the new toy!!! It is amazing how fast they grow!
Delayna will be 9 months old Monday! AAGGGHH! How time flies! My baby girl is growing up. She only has one more week till we get her casts off!!!! YEA!!!! I hope everything is ok under the casts. You know you never know what is happening with the healing process until the casts are removed. I can't wait to see her beautiful little hands again. She loves to sit in her walker and bang on the musical stars and she also loves to jump in the jump up, but her bottom almost touches the ground when she jumps. She is really too heavy for it ( 27lbs), but she loves it so much!
This year was Delayna's first Christmas. The boys are just crazy about her! I thought the newness would wear off but it hasn't and they still fight over holding her. She will never have a boyfriend! Enjoy a few of our Christmas pictures! I used my new camera, so most of the pictures at Christmas are not from our house.
I am finally adding a new post to this blog. There is so much to do in a days time and not enough time to do it when you have four lovely children. Here is a picture of Delayna's room. I finally put up her uppercase living stuff.
